Azerbaijani ambassador presents his credentials to Grand Duke of Luxembourg

Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Vagif Sadigov has presented his credentials to His Royal Highness Henri, Grand Duke of Luxembourg.

The Grand Duke of Luxembourg congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his future endeavors.

Ambassador Sadigov conveyed President Ilham Aliyev’s greetings and best wishes to the Grand Duke of Luxembourg. Grand Duke Henri thanked for President Ilham Aliyev’s greetings, and asked the diplomat to extend his sincere greetings to the Azerbaijani President. He also recalled his visit to Azerbaijan in 2015.

Hailing strong relations between the two countries, Ambassador Sadigov stressed the importance of further development of these ties.

Highlighting the post-conflict reality emerged in the region after the Second Karabakh War, the diplomat provided an insight into the large-scale restoration works carried out in the liberated Azerbaijani territories, normalization of relations, as well as the process of signing the peace agreement with Armenia.

Grand Duke Henri expressed his interest in enhancing relations with Azerbaijan in various areas, particularly in economic and transport spheres.
